Good quality oils need to be expeller-pressed at temperatures below 45oC and not solvent extracted. They should not be subjected to high heat temperatures, deodorizing, bleaching or alkali refining.Melrose Organic Unrefined oils are produced by pressing seeds at less than 40oC. The oil is then bottled under nitrogen and packed in amber bottles to reduce both photon and auto-oxidation preserving both the nutritional value and the fresh taste.
Melrose Organic Safflower Cooking Oil
There are two types of Melrose Organic Safflower oil:
· Oleic (Melrose Organic Cooking Oil); and
· Linoleic (Melrose Organic Salad Oil).
High oleic safflower oil is desired for its health benefits being low in saturated fats.
Organic oleic safflower oil is also extensively used throughout the cosmetics and remedial industries.
